I remember the first few times seeing Anna Kubick at gatherings that our friends would have, I say to myself "I have to photograph this girl someday. She looks absolutely flawless everytime I see her." So finally fellow photographer Thuy T Pham and I shadowed each other all evening long with Anna, her blue eyes & golden hair captivated us.

Independence, Iowa

This was my first time traveling alone without anyone else in the car with me. I drove up to Independence, Iowa to shoot Jessica and Eric's wedding. Why not fly?....you ask. Originally, my sister was suppose to travel with me but since she got a wonderful promotion at her job, she's couldn't take off during her first week of training. Anyways, I thought the plane tickets for both my sister and it would've been too expensive and driving would've been just fine. Well, I ended up driving to Iowa alone and it wasn't as bad or scary as I thought. The best part, my friend Jamie Wolff drove from Lincoln, Nebraska and joined in the fun.

I rarely take much pictures on my mobile phone but I had a blast with it on this trip. I guess it's because of the new app I downloaded called "little photos". Honestly, it saved me the trouble of loading my heavy camera around. These pictures below took a lot of exiting off the highway, stopping on the side of the highways, and even getting lost in many small towns. Stay tune for photos of "my return to the midwest" which continues next week. I am adding my visits to Colorado and Minnesota in the mix as well.
